Profile
Peter has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) at Alfred Hospital from 2012 to 2021. During this time, he also served as the clinical lead for the home-based PD service. Under his leadership, the service grew to become the largest PD unit in the state of Victoria. The unit consistently achieved the best outcomes in terms of Peritonitis rates and technique failure rates, as measured by the Victoria Department of Health's state-based Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Peter's efforts highlighted the effectiveness of home-based PD compared to in-center therapies, underscoring the benefits of empowering patients to manage their treatment in the comfort of their own homes, with high levels of safety and success.
